Art Works Gallery

grass valley artistsLocated in the historic gold mining town of Grass Valley, California, the gallery is at the center of a vibrant visual and performing arts community. 37 juried visual artists cooperate in presenting their work in this 19th century building. The work includes ceramic, glass, jewelry, painting, woodturning, furniture, fiber art, metal, mosaic, mixed media, photography, and sculpture.

Art Works Gallery opened in May 2010 as a new Grass Valley downtown artists co-op gallery on Mill Street. We have been successful in part due to this excellent location but more importantly due to the commitment of our many artists working together to share the responsibilities as a unified team. We divide the work and share in the fun and enthusiasm, as well as the expenses to create a successful art gallery for all the members, and the community.

Mint

Inside our store you’ll find everything that’s implied inside our name. Our signature curating approach brings in fresh styles and designers, and we remain tapped in to the Gold Rush roots that define this place we call home. Mint offers a big-world collection in a small town, and we are the premier place in the Gold Country for women to buy beloved brand names such as Converse, Vans, Pendelton, Toms, RVCA etc. In addition to stocking our curated classics, we also offer a small gold mine of local and handmade goods like Gather Jewelry, Of Earth and Salt and Krochet Kids, all chosen for their attention to quality, design, ethics and sustainability.

Not only do we provide products, but we also provide a service to our community by creating and sustaining part of our local economy. A local dollar goes a long way, and we know that. We can’t mint new money, but we sure can help keep as much of it here as possible.

Originally born from the heart of Goodtimes , Mint has transformed above and beyond its roots to become its own entity. For the pioneers who made their own way, cut their own roads, and lived by new rules – creativity was key to survival. This legacy is our inspiration.
