Join us in Downtown Grass Valley for Safe Trick or Treat for preschoolers on Tuesday, October 31st, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM! Downtown will be open to shop and take photos with all the Halloween characters, decorations, and murals on display in downtown. Shop in costume!
Local Restaurants will be featuring seasonal goodies. Enjoy all the photo opportunities with the amazing Halloween decorations, and share #grassvalley #grassvalleyhalloween if you post on social media. Happy Halloween!

The Grass Valley Library will be giving away books and spooky and fun goodies during the Safe Trick or Treat event in downtown Grass Valley. Stop by their table on Mill Street for a scarily fun grab bag and don’t forget to say Trick or Treat! Goodies and Books are available while supplies last.

Save the date for the 3rd annual Spooky Boooky – a free book giveaway in partnership with the Community Support Network and First 5 Nevada County. Friday, October 28th at 3:00 pm – join us in costume at the Madelyn Helling Library for stories, treats, face painting, and free books for ages 0 – 13 while supplies last.

–Scavenger hunt 1: Most skeletons found. Take photos of all the skeletons you can find, post on social media one or more photos #grassvalleyscavenger, and post your guess of how many skeletons there are in all of downtown. “I spy ——skeletons”
-Scavenger hunt 2: Find the skeleton with the black cap Monday, Oct 31st, and Tuesday, Nov. 1st. Take a photo and post it on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #grassvalleyskeleton to be entered into a raffle for prizes. Happy hunting!
Those that guess the closest will be entered to win a prize. If you don’t do social media, send an email to info@downtowngrassvalley.com guessing how many skeletons and a photo. We will draw for prizes on Oct 31st and Nov 1st.
