Vendor Guidelines
Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Craft Vendors: All items are handmade by the vendor.
- Merchant Vendors: All items are mass-produced and/or imported.
- Food Vendors: Must apply before September 20, 2023, or a County fine will be added to your amount due.
- Before registering, all Food Vendors must have a Temporary Food Facilities permit from the Nevada County Environmental Health Department. To apply download and return the Nevada County Food Vendor Application and Risk Assessment.
Event Details
Vendor load-in is at 3:30 PM. Electricity must be arranged in advance.
Note: No refunds, unless the event is canceled. The event is held rain or shine.
All Canopies, EZ-Ups, and Devices used to cover any vendor space shall have SFM Certification for Fire Resistiveness and conform to the requirements of the 2016 Edition of the California Fire Code Section 3104, Sub-sections 3104.1, 3104.3 & 3104.4.
Your pop-up tent must be compliant OR have the State of California State Fire Marshal seal must have a label that indicates the unit is inherently fire-resistive. Tents MUST have a tag stating CPAI-84.
Food Vendors: will need to provide a minimum of one (1) fire extinguisher with a minimum size and rating of five (5) lb. 2-A:10-B:C for each vendor location where cooking or use of open flame occurs, including but not limited to, propane/gas lanterns, torches, generators, portable space heaters, etc. Food Vendors must provide proof of liability insurance naming the Grass Valley Downtown Association as additional insured.
All vendors are required to sign Liability Waiver.
Once accepted vendors will receive a Fire Marshal Conditions of Approval form to sign and will pay booth fee(s).
All food vendors are required to have a Temporary Facility Permit – Environmental Health Temporary Food Facility Permit Application. This is required to complete the online registration. Visit Nevada County Environmental Health at https://www.mynevadacounty.com/1470/Environmental-Health
$50 cleaning deposit will be returned after the event if all spaces are left clean and no incidents of leaving trash and products.
Write a separate check for the cleaning deposit to Grass Valley Downtown Association.
Vendors must take trash away from each event. Pack it in, pack it out.
Application Process
We will assess who applies and jury for a good mix of a market with available spaces for 2023.
Vendors will be notified via email about acceptance status.
Once acceptance is confirmed, you will be invoiced and payment along with a cleaning deposit will be required prior to the event.
Additional information and instructions will be sent to you upon acceptance of your application.
