Located adjacent to the Del Oro Theatre in Grass Valley, young entrepreneurs Bailey Douglas and her sister Belle are in it to win it, introducing their shop, Gloomy Bloom Coffee, on the corner of Neal and Mill Streets.
Bailey and Belle are eager to present a menu devoid of “crazy drinks”—that is, you won’t find anything over-the-top, as the two are sticking to the basics of coffee and showcasing the quality of the beans they receive daily from Coffeebar, based in Reno.
It’s all ethically sourced, and all their sources are organic, including their milks and syrups.
Bailey and Belle are trying to do something a little different for Grass Valley—not the usual. The Gloomy Bloom menu is simple, so they can focus on the quality of the coffee beans, so you can come in and get the same-tasting drink every time.
Gloomy Bloom Coffee is open at 167 Mill Street in Grass Valley, just next door to Del Oro Theatre. For more information, please see their Instagram page at www.instagram.com/gloomybloomcoffee/. They are open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
